CHAPTER 3
Planning in Epochs
§3.3 Big asks get an approved plan — then it’s binding
SEE IT
· · ·A big feature just landed on you: “add billing.” That’s a mega-ask, not a task. The operator’s move is to run it as an epoch.
These five steps are the loop that keeps a big ask from becoming a confident mess. They’re scrambled. Put them in the order that stops the disaster before it starts.
DO IT
Drag the steps into the right order.
- 1 Move to the next phase — no re-asking what’s already approved.
- 2 Check phase one against its own verification line before moving on.
- 3 Have the agent write a plan: phases, what ships each phase, how each is verified.
- 4 Build phase one only; ship it as a complete, verified unit.
- 5 Read the plan; correct the scope; approve it — now it’s binding.
Earn the rule to move on.
